The Silhouette Cameo 2013 model is both an electronic cutting tool and plotter.  Sketch pens for plotting are sold separately. The Silhouette Cameo plugs into a PC or MAC with a simple USB cable. It connects to your computer just like a laser printer. The Silhouette Cameo uses a small blade to cut designs into a wide array of materials or a sketch pen to draw designs like a plotter on surfaces up to 12 inches wide and up to 10 feet long!

Create letters up to 30 cm high for vinyl, fabric, or paper signs with a Silhouette Cameo. The Silhouette Cameo is designed for low-volume personal use paper, fabric, and vinyl cutting and plotting projects. You may use the Silhouette Cameo to make your own custom wedding invitations or for classroom art and model projects.

The free Silhouette Studio software allows you to create any 2D design you can think of or find.
